This is where I will post about things that have been interesting me. Recently I've been learning about modern "cave-people" who have been isolated in caves for different experimental reasons. The first one I learned of was Michel Siffre; in 1972, he spend six months in an underground cave researching what happens to the human circadian clock (24 hour cycle of various body functions, the sleep/wake cycle being one of them) when there are no external time cues. One of Siffre's main observations was that in isolation, the human circadian clock slows down (he claimed to switch to a 48hr cycle). This experiment produced one of the coolest photos of all-time:

The most recent "cave-person" is Beatriz Flamini; she entered "the cave" on November 21st 2021, and she only re-emerged on April 14th of this year. Flamini also experienced a longer circadian clock, only counting the 500 days as 160ish days. She also claimed she didn't want to come out. Anyways, this has been the first "curiosity" post. Feel free to direct any comments to my email (under "contact" on the home page).
